Buy Treadmill
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009How to buy treadmill. With so many treadmill reviews cropping up, and all with seemingly different recommendations on where to buy a treadmill and which fitness treadmill to buy, it’s easy to get lost and confused as to which is the best treadmill to suit your needs.
A Proform treadmill is probably one of the best products you can get your hands on – but then you’re going to be paying a high ticket price. A Weslo treadmill may be more suited to your needs, so what you need to do before you go buy treadmill is to decide what you want to achieve with your fitness treadmill (to lose some weight, increase your fitness, train for a marathon etc) and how much you want to spend.
It’s all too easy to go look at some treadmills for sale, without a clear picture of your goals in mind, and be persuaded to buy the latest high end entertainment unit (like a Perspectiv ES ProForm treadmill) that comes with a whole host of features that you don’t really need and at a price tag that you don’t need to spend.
It’s also important to look at some the features of a treadmill that you really can’t afford to do without – like an effective cushioning system for example. Don’t buy treadmills that don’t have a cushioning system, or have a poor or low quality one. The cushioning system helps reduce the impact when your feet hit the belt, which helps protect you against shin splints and knee injuries. The whole point when you buy a treadmill is that it’s going to help you get fit and improve your health. This won’t happen if it starts to cause you injuries because you simply won’t use it.
If you’re just looking to improve your fitness, maybe lose a few pounds and build your cardiovascular fitness, you probably won’t need a treadmill with a motorized incline, in which case you may want to opt for a manual treadmill, or simply one that doesn’t have the incline feature – which will save you quite a bit of money.
You can pay anywhere between $200 and $3500 for the best treadmills, but that doesn’t necessarily make it the best treadmill for you.
Once you have your list of criteria, check out a few online stores and maybe Amazon too, before you finally decide to buy treadmill. This way you know what to expect when you visit your local sports equipment store, and have some ammunition with which to negotiate on price.
